The key points of autumn eggplant seedling management

VIEWS: times Release Date:2020-08-31

Autumn eggplants are generally sown from the end of July to the beginning of August, and are currently in the seedling stage. The field management at the seedling stage of eggplant is more meticulous and time-consuming. The seedling stage carries out vegetative growth to prepare for the later flowering and fruiting, so the management should not be relaxed.

The key points of autumn eggplant seedling management

1. Gradual cover soil:

During the eggplant seedling stage, it needs to be covered several times. When seedlings emerge from the top soil, after all the seedlings emerge, and each time the seedlings are thinned and after watering, a thin layer of soil needs to be covered. The thickness of the soil covered each time is about 0.2cm.

2. Thinning and weeding:

Thinning eggplant usually takes two times, usually before dividing the seedlings. The first time is when the seedlings are spreading out two cotyledons, the seedlings with a relatively large density are separated, and the seedlings are kept at a distance of about 1cm without leaving double barley. The second thinning is carried out after the first true leaf of the eggplant seedlings is unfolded, and some inferior seedlings are pulled out. At this time, the seedling spacing needs to be kept about 2cm. In addition, when thinning, weeds should be removed to avoid competition for nutrients.

3. Split seedlings in time:

The three problems that need to be paid attention to in the process of eggplant seedling division are to water enough water, keep the seedling depth consistent, and timely eliminate deformed and weak seedlings. After the seedlings are divided, the surface soil of the seedbed must be kept moist, but not muddy. If the seedlings are too deep, the seedlings will be slow. When the seedling grows 3-4 leaves, it needs to be divided. If the seedlings are divided too late, the seedlings will grow crowded, which will affect the differentiation of flower buds. 2 to 3 days before seedling splitting, you need to water it once to facilitate seedlings to rise afterwards and reduce root damage. When seedlings are raised, the seedlings should be graded according to their size and planted separately.

4. Appropriate top dressing:

If the seedlings are found to be poor and weak, proper top dressing is required. 15kg/mu of MAINPAR Nitrosulfuryl 16-16-16 can be ditched, and the soil covered with fertilizer is watered according to the moisture content. It can effectively increase the thickness of the leaves and the thickness of the stalk, and the fertilizer comes quickly, the fertilizer effect is long, it is not easy to lose fertilizer in the later period, and the flowering period is prolonged.
