Precautions for mixing fertilizers and fertilizers

VIEWS: times Release Date:2021-02-08

When mixing different fertilizers, the following principles must be grasped:

Precautions for mixing fertilizers and fertilizers

(1) After mixing, the nutrient distribution ratio should be adapted to the local soil characteristics and crop needs.

(2) After mixing, the fertilizer efficiency of the fertilizer cannot be reduced (some fertilizers will undergo chemical reactions after mixing, causing nutrient loss, and they are not suitable for mixing)

Such as:

Alkaline fertilizers such as plant ash cannot be mixed with ammonium sulfate, ammonium bicarbonate, ammonium chloride and other ammonium nitrogen fertilizers, which will increase the loss of nitrogen volatilization and reduce fertilizer efficiency.

Superphosphate cannot be mixed with alkaline substances such as plant ash, lime nitrogen and lime. Because superphosphate contains free acid and is acidic, the above-mentioned alkaline substances contain more calcium. Mixing the two will cause acid-base neutralization and reduce fertilizer efficiency. Calcium will also fix phosphorus.

Ammonium bicarbonate cannot be mixed with bacterial fertilizer. Ammonium bicarbonate emits a certain concentration of ammonia gas, which is toxic to the active bacteria in the fertilizer.

Phosphate fertilizers cannot be mixed with zinc. Phosphorus and zinc produce a chemical reaction to form zinc phosphate, reducing the utilization of phosphorus and zinc.

Farmyard manure cannot be mixed with alkaline fertilizers. The main component of human and animal manure and urine is nitrogen. If mixed with strong alkaline fertilizers, it will neutralize and become invalid.

Chemical fertilizer cannot be mixed with bacterial fertilizer. Chemical fertilizer has strong corrosiveness, volatility and water absorption. If mixed with bacterial fertilizer, it will kill or inhibit live bacteria and make bacterial fertilizer ineffective.

Insoluble phosphate fertilizers cannot be mixed with alkaline fertilizers. Insoluble phosphate fertilizers include phosphate rock powder, bone meal, etc. These fertilizers are more difficult to dissolve in water when mixed with alkaline fertilizers.
