VIEWS: times Release Date:2020-12-30

During the year, the physiological functions of the various organs of strawberries also change regularly with the seasons. Generally, they are divided into five stages: the initial growth period, the flowering and fruiting period, the vigorous growth period, the flower bud differentiation period and the dormant period .

How to use bio-organic fertilizer for strawberries

Strawberry roots are fibrous roots with shallow distribution. 70% of the roots are distributed in 20 cm deep soil. Strawberry is a water-loving and fertilizer-loving crop. It requires a sandy loam with strong fertilizer and water retention capacity, good ventilation, and loose texture. Fertilizers should be properly applied throughout the growth period to ensure healthy plant growth, more flowering, more fruit, good fruit taste and high yield. Strong seedlings are the basis for high quality, high yield and high efficiency. Strong seedlings accumulate a lot of nutrients and have a well-developed root system. After planting, they survive quickly, and the flower buds are differentiated and full, and they can produce large and many fruits. Applying enough base fertilizer is the basic condition for strawberry seedlings.

Before planting, prepare the ground and make a border, turn the soil 30-40 cm deep, and apply enough base fertilizer while turning deeply. Generally, 200 kg of bio-organic fertilizer is applied per mu, with 10 kg of urea, 20-25 kg of superphosphate, and 10 kg of potassium sulfate. On the basis of applying sufficient basal fertilizer, 20 kg of bio-organic fertilizer will be applied in the north after strawberry planting or survival to promote the growth of plant roots. In the Jiangsu and Zhejiang areas, topdressing is applied once after planting, and 20 kg of bio-organic fertilizer is applied per mu in mid-November or early December. Strawberry fields without sufficient base fertilizer should be topdressed three times.

It is applied for the first time before budding in spring. Generally, 30 kg of bio-organic fertilizer is applied per mu to promote the green growth and inflorescence development.

For the second time, apply 20 kg of bio-organic fertilizer per mu before flowering to meet the nutrient needs of plants for accelerating growth and flowering and fruiting.

The third application is after fruit picking, 40 kilograms of bio-organic fertilizer per mu is applied to supplement the loss of soil nutrients and restore the growth of the plant. The plant undergoes a second vegetative growth to promote flower bud differentiation.
