Fertilization of young mango trees is mainly to promote vegetative growth. Young mango trees can shoot new shoots almost throughout the year except for the low temperature period in the late winter and early spring. The annual shoot volume can reach 6-7 times. The growth is large and the demand for nutrients is also large.

Generally, the first-age saplings are applied with 2 kg of bio-organic fertilizer each time, and the second-age saplings are 3 kg. The method of circular furrow application is adopted. Fruiting trees need adequate supply of various nutrients during the flowering period, early fruit development and new shoots.

According to the growth and development characteristics of mango trees, four fertilizations are generally selected.

For the first time before and after the fruit picking, 5-10 kg of bio-organic fertilizer was applied, using radial furrow or circular furrow application to restore the tree vigor after the fruit picking, prompting the timely stop of the last autumn shoots and accumulating photosynthetic nutrients. It has a good effect in the state of flower bud differentiation.

For the second time, the flower-promoting fertilizer is applied during the flower bud differentiation period of mango. Generally, from October to November, 3--8 kg of bio-organic fertilizer shall be applied in a circular furrow to promote flower bud differentiation and ensure flower development.

The third application of strong flower fertilizer, usually from January to March is the period of flower bud development and flowering. The plant application of bio-organic fertilizer 2-3 kg, circular furrow application can increase the nutrient level of the tree and promote the growth of flower spikes and florets. Growth, increase the ratio of sexual flowers, strengthen the quality of flowers, enhance the ability to resist bad weather such as low temperature and rain, and increase the fruit setting rate.

The fourth time is to apply strong fruit fertilizer from April to May, with 3-5 kg of bio-organic fertilizer, and 500 g of potassium sulfate to promote the rapid growth of fruits and coordinate the contradiction of nutrient distribution between branches and fruits.
