Use foliar fertilizer in the middle and late stages of late rice to save fertilizer cost and increase yield

VIEWS: times Release Date:2020-11-07

At present, the late rice in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River basically enters the jointing stage. At this time, it is also "feeling" the temperature changes in growth and development, and some changes are also taking place from roots to leaves. Therefore, management should also conform to nature. Only by adjusting the law to meet the growth needs of rice can we strive for higher yields and better quality in the later stages.

Use foliar fertilizer in the middle and late stages of late rice to save fertilizer cost and increase yield

1. Nitrogen fertilizer (use as appropriate)

Many late rice fields in sandy and leaky fields are prone to lack of nitrogen in the late growth period, which causes premature aging and yellowing of leaves, lower seed setting rate, and hardly full grains. When symptoms of nitrogen deficiency are found in late rice leaves, 1% urea solution can be sprayed once at the booting stage and at the beginning of the filling stage, which can prolong the life of the functional leaves and increase the yield.

2. Phosphorus potassium fertilizer (strongly recommended)

Phosphorus spraying in late growth stage can increase the seed setting rate and thousand-grain weight, and promote maturity. Spraying potassium fertilizer solution once at the booting stage and full-head stage of late rice can promote heading and increase the seed setting rate. Potassium dihydrogen phosphate is a high-concentration phosphate-potassium binary compound fertilizer that can enhance cold resistance, increase grain and weight and increase production. The use of foliar fertilizer on late rice fits the nutritional needs of rice. Generally, it is sprayed once at the booting stage and the full-head stage, each time with 100 grams of potassium dihydrogen phosphate per mu and 30 kg of water. When heading reaches 20%, use 200 grams of potassium dihydrogen phosphate per mu, add 40 ml of brassinolide, and add 30 kg of water to spray evenly, which can promote tidy heading, reduce necking, and have a significant yield increase effect.

3. Zinc fertilizer (optional)

First, spray once at the beginning of the heading stage to promote tidy heading and reduce bald tips; second, spray once at the full-heading stage to accelerate nutrient circulation, increase the stamina of the leaves, and promote grain filling. Spray 30 grams of fluid zinc per mu each time and add 30 kilograms of water to spray, such as mixed spraying with potassium dihydrogen phosphate, the effect is better.

4. Boron fertilizer (strongly recommended)

During the filling stage of late rice, if the boron nutrient supply is sufficient, the rice setting rate will be high and the empty space will be less. During the full heading stage and filling stage of hybrid late rice, 30 grams of fluid boron fertilizer is sprayed with 30 kilograms of water each time, which can increase the yield by about 10%. The effect of boron spraying is better when it is in low temperature and rainy weather which is not conducive to late rice grouting. The combination of boron fertilizer and potassium dihydrogen phosphate has better effect, classic formula.
